NASCAR Angels, a national television show broadcast to 88% of the country, featuring Las Vegas Motor Speedway Super Late Model Driver Jim Petrie will air Saturday April 26, 2008. Jim was selected to be included in the show because of his dedication to the students at Roundy Elementary and the Nevada State Bank Race to Success Reading Program. The fifth grade students at Roundy Elementary have read over 1,000 books since September of 2007.

BOISE, IDAHO (April 22, 2008) Tom Hill of Eagle, Idaho scored his third career CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series victory this past Saturday at Magic Valley Speedway in round one of the 2008 campaign. Hill started 12th and worked his way into the top five late in the race and past local favorite and A-1 Heating and Air Conditioning rookie Steve Jones with two laps left in the race to score the win.

Havasu has two new kings of the track.
A pair of champs was crowned Saturday at Havasu 95 Speedway, Tyler Fabozzi in Bandoleros and Connor Kassik in Legends as racing wrapped in both classes.
“It feels wonderful,” Fabozzi, 11, said. “I think the difference was my crew chief (father Vince) and I finished every race.”

While most of the country has already been racing for a few weeks, the teams of the CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series have waited for the last of the ice to melt and the plants to bloom. When plants start to bloom in the mountain states then racing is just around the corner and this Saturday night the RMCS returns to Magic Valley Speedway in Twin Falls, Idaho for round one of the 2008 campaign.

The Havasu 95 Speedway, located in beautiful Lake Havasu City-Arizona, will present the latest round of their ongoing Winter Racing Series this Saturday night April 19th. Highlighting the racing action, at the most scenic quarter mile asphalt track in the southwest, will be a special appearance by the West Coast Pro Trucks along with the Vintage Sprints and Midgets. Thanks to a new program, students at Coronado High School in Las Vegas are learning what it’s like to operate a real-life NASCAR race team. During the 2008 school year, the students will apply the skills they are learning in technical career classes to develop Team Coronado Racing with the goal of operating a Super Late Model race team at Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s 3/8-mile asphalt oval, the Bullring.
